...a little bit about us...

. . I'm Sheila Pack, and I've enjoyed photographing weddings since I was just out of high school. With today's technology, wedding photography is more exciting than ever before! I love the process even more now than when I first got started: there are so many beautiful traditions, and creative new trends, that every wedding is fresh and new.

, Most of the time, I work with an assistant. Having a second photographer enables fuller coverage of the event... two perspectives, two viewpoints, and two (or more!) cameras provides a great assortment of images from which to choose. Sometimes my daughter, Amanda Galvin, assists me, and sometimes my husband, Rich, does the job. Both are capable, talented, creative individuals whose photos definitely enhance the finished collection. I am most fortunate to have such talented assistants. .

Every Tuesday, I spend the day with Katelynn and Cameron, my grandchildren, children of my son, Jeremy and daughter-in-law, Christina. Katie is three, and Cam just turned one. They are such wonderful blessings! We also have Abigail, two, and Owen, born in February. They live in Olmsted Twp., and are the children of Rich's son and daughter-in-law, Devra. Children are wonderful little people!

My vocation is also my hobby: if I'm not shooting a wedding, or working at my weekday job, I can often be found hiking and shooting nature's breathtaking scenery and wildlife. Past trips to New York, Arizona, and Nevada have added to my personal portfolio of travel images. The Outer Banks area of North Carolina was another beautiful location... I'd love to go back there sometime.
I've found that the most pleasant traveling companions for photographers are other photographers... nobody minds turning around (or waiting around) to get that perfect shot! Often, getting up well before daylight to be in place when dawn breaks, allows creation of the most beautiful images. The world is a peaceful place at daybreak, and inevitably I feel closer to God. It truly is a wonderful life!
